I didnβt do it for a long time. This is my current homescreen. Itβs nothing special. But maybe to mention, I deactivated all badges with numbers on it. So no more direct stress when watching at my homescreen.

Goal: Bundle sources in a healthy way
I thought it’s funny to change my username from Mandalorian to Microlorian. Problem now: Old mentions are f*cked up. And if you want to write me directly with @ you have to know this…

The few really important Twitter channels I follow integrated into Inoreader, so I hardly ever have to open Twitter. Let’s see how that works.
Huge influx at Mastodon. Everyone is talking about finally being off Twitter.
In about 2 weeks everything will be back to normal.
These are the best mobile phones and smartphones I’ve had so far (correct order). In between there were a few more, but I don’t like to say “best devices” to them. I currently have an iPhone 12.
Since I’m not allowed to buy a real dog, I just ordered this one. π
When an e-mail begins with
Trust you’re doing great
it can only be spam great!
My personal laptop stopped turning on.
Power supply connected - nothing.
Connected to docking station - nothing.
Half panic.
Ordered a new power supply via Amazon - nothing.
More panic!
Pressed the on/off button again for what felt like an eternity - I had already done that before - works again.
Apparently I had never pressed it long enough during the felt 30x before.

IFTTT doesn’t work that good, right? e.g. Liked tweets -> Raindrop.io. When I like 20 tweets, maybe one will be forwarded to Raindrop. Also other connections don’t work that good. Do you have the same setup/problems?
Mailbrew is dead.
Maybe.
No more subscriptions. No more answers from the developers. I don’t know. It looked so promising back then.
Cleaning up more than 900 unread mails. π§Ή
I registered for Scrintal. A Notes/Zettelkasten/Mind Map combination looking very promising.
If you want to give it a try, here’s my referral link. (yeah, I need the money) π€
First 2.000 users will lock in a very special early access price.
Now I know why I sent back my Remarkable 2…
Kindle Scribe incoming!!!
What I want: reflect.app
Exactly the note app that suits me best. A blessing to work with.
By far the best offshoot of the Zettelkasten method. Better than Roam or Obsidian.
What I will use: craft.do
Also has daily notes (my main use), but doesn’t match me 100%.
I have to click several times until I get to where I want to end up. But okay, I’ll put up with that.
Why do I do this? Money.
craft is first free and then it costs about 50$ a year while reflect costs 150$ a year.
All the subscriptions are eating me up at the moment. And even if I have found the perfect tools for me, I can no longer afford everything by far.
I still don’t want to do without comfort and good tools, so I’m still happy to use paid tools, even if they don’t correspond 100% to my workflow.
Let’s take Todoist (Pro). I will replace that with Microsoft To Do. Yes, because of the cost.
In this sense… I am strongly sorting out. And every time I want to click on subscribe somewhere, I slap my fingers and think five more times whether I really need it.
Okay, I’ll use it, the possibility to return the technical writing thing within 100 days.
It’s been a great and valuable test over the last few weeks. But what I unfortunately had to realize: I used the “tablet” much less than I thought. While it was great to use the Remarkable every time, that’s just not me. We don’t match 100%, so to speak.
What remains is a great piece of hardware that finds its buyers and who are then also very happy with it. I personally think that’s great! Unfortunately it does not fit me.
Originally, I always wanted to write everything down, convert some of the stuff into digital writing and continue working with it. But in fact I wrote down less than I wanted and hardly ever looked at what I had written afterwards. Online tools are completely different. There I had found my favorite, which I used regularly. I disliked typing on the keyboard, but in the end I did it anyway and had everything searchable at my fingertips.
In this sense: Unfortunately, for me, theme miss. And that’s why I’m even happier that you get the chance to test the device for 100 days.
For me Micro.blog is the best Facebook.
Itβs not my blogging platform and will never be. Itβs the best place to share personal stuff with people I like.
So. First sentence is way more positive than it sounds. π«£π
Best thing from the iPhone 14 Pro: Dynamic Island
I would love to play with that black bubble all day long.
I’m very technical today…
Once again, I signed up for 3 months of Apple Music, even though I love Spotify. Unfortunately, Apple Music has a few albums or live sets by my favourite artists that Spotify doesn’t have. That annoys me. But I also refuse to run multiple streaming services in parallel. So how do I solve this problem? I’ve tried moving away from Spotify several times, but always come back. In the end, the Black and Green streaming service offers the best recommendations and the widest range of music.
I guess that’s my eternal search for adventure and newness. If only that would stop at some point….
I love trying out weather apps. I think I do it every 3 months. And after that I’m always disappointed, that none of them is able to always show the right weather. π
Raindrop.io Pro subscription successfully completed. Somehow, it’s the “egg-laying willow sow” after all.
Am I the only one who hates two-factor authentication. I constantly have to use my cell phone to log in somewhere. With some tools several times a day. Grrrrrr!!!
What’s the new tech/web/app shit everybody wants but nobody needs?
I need to try it out!!! π
here he is, the Momolorian! ha, too cute. π yeah, i copied what @maique did. again. π
One of my most loved “new releases from my favorite artists” services is back: MusicButler
In the beginning of the year the developer wanted to close the service. That got to me so much that I deleted the account straight away. Now I have found the service again. The developer got so much good feedback that he started again, now with a subscription model so that it pays off for him.
In this case, I am almost willing to take out another subscription, even though I have cancelled almost all of them recently.
