Yesterday I saw that the old Xbox 360 game The Darkness 2 is on sale. Purchased! After that I started the game and … the disillusionment was great: There is something wrong!

In Germany, games are often cut. And that’s especially bitter for games that have a certain charm due to their sometimes excessive brutality. So I had spent almost 6 Euros for a cut game.

Too bad. 😞

A little later I got the idea, whether there is probably also an Austria online store for the Xbox? Yes, there is. And there is The Darkness 2 and The Darkness 1 on offer. And uncut. No sooner said than done. I bought the games from there and couldn’t download them to my Xbox. What’s going on there?

The solution: On the Xbox you can set a country. If you change that to Austria, the games are suddenly available for download.

The download ran and later I looked again in the other version of The Darkness 2. And behold: blood and guts as far as the eye can see. 🤣

Sorry, I’m not into splattering everywhere anymore, but I just knew the games differently. In the end, they are games based on comics that are not squeamish. And that’s how it should stay, please. Kind of like an Arielle that should be white. (Oh… did I set something off..?) 😊

Okay, I’ll use it, the possibility to return the technical writing thing within 100 days.

It’s been a great and valuable test over the last few weeks. But what I unfortunately had to realize: I used the “tablet” much less than I thought. While it was great to use the Remarkable every time, that’s just not me. We don’t match 100%, so to speak.

What remains is a great piece of hardware that finds its buyers and who are then also very happy with it. I personally think that’s great! Unfortunately it does not fit me.

Originally, I always wanted to write everything down, convert some of the stuff into digital writing and continue working with it. But in fact I wrote down less than I wanted and hardly ever looked at what I had written afterwards. Online tools are completely different. There I had found my favorite, which I used regularly. I disliked typing on the keyboard, but in the end I did it anyway and had everything searchable at my fingertips.

In this sense: Unfortunately, for me, theme miss. And that’s why I’m even happier that you get the chance to test the device for 100 days.

I had a totally awesome doctor’s appointment today.

Does that sound weird?

Today I changed all the filters of the ventilation system and ventilation grilles. I rid our two light outlets of several dozen flies (how the heck do they get in there?). I got on with the income tax return - a disaster as every year. I made a lot of phone calls (regarding our house). I took care of the plumber who, as expected, left half-baked work and lots of dirt. I went to see my godson who had his first day of school today. And now I’m still preparing things for work tomorrow. What a productive day! Not nice, but productive.

I hate craftsmen.

A house like this is a single, lifelong construction site. The plumber is here and is now repairing a mistake on the chimney plate that he made over a year ago. In the meantime, the chimney sweep has wanted to shut down my chimney several times. Great, isn’t it? I love it.
