Oh my, the Xbox Series S, which I love, keeps seducing me….

I bought the following games “just because” in addition to the Game Pass:

  • Riders Republic
  • Far Cry 6
  • GTA V
  • Assassin’s Creed Origins
  • Cyberpunk 2077

And in the Game Pass?

I play there regularly…

  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Quantum Break
  • and a bit more…

When will I play all this? Every now and then for a few minutes and in about 5,000 years I’ll be through with everything.

Ich war heute früh extrem sprachlos. 😶 Und das bei einem Termin, bei dem man normalerweise sehr viel reden sollte. Damit war der Termin irgendwie sinnlos. Und danach war ich den Tränen nahe. 😭 So. Und bei euch so?

Scheinbar ist mein iPhone 12 📱 bestellt. Cool. Nein, es ist nicht genau das was ich wollte. Ich wollte ein aktuelles Pro, schon alleine dem Telezoom wegen und da ein Smartphone generell meine einzige Kamera ist. Aber: Es ist endlich mal wieder ein iPhone. Ich bin zurück. 💪‍‍

I briefly played Far Cry 6 last night. (You can currently do that for free.) Do you know what you can do? Give orders to a crocodile 🐊, which then tears the enemies to pieces. Sick. (But funny.) 🎮

It could be that we will have Covid 🦠 again soon. 😱 My wife got a fever yesterday. My Covid illness was just 4 weeks ago. Hopefully she doesn’t have it. Fingers crossed! 🤞

I read Billy Summers 📚 at the moment and I have a problem with that book. It’s okay, but somehow it hasn’t grabbed me yet. But that is often a King problem. Sometimes it only gets interesting later. Let’s see. At the moment it’s a struggle.

Now that I seem to be getting an iPhone again soon, what are the must have apps today? 📱

A great day at work 💼

Today I went to the office and it started with a very good colleague going on maternity leave. She had baked a cake and many came. We spread the whole thing over several hours so that there weren’t too many at once. And it was really nice. It was nice to see people in person again and the time with her was great.

Afterwards I talked to my other team members. Still, because I’m moving to a new team from 1 April. That was also really nice, because I have taken many of them to my heart and will miss them.

And also very nice: A very good colleague and friend happened to be there today, and I had a coffee with him later.

You might think I did nothing but talk, eat and drink coffee, but that’s wrong. In fact, I have already dedicated myself to my new future task. I took over a team meeting from my predecessor and felt very comfortable.

And later I was allowed to have an interview with a candidate who applied for a job in my future team.

It was all really good today and everything felt right. Some concerns about the future position have faded away. A lot of things went easily after just being me. At least for the most part.

Oh yes, I was also invited to a barbecue later on.

Today, I can really say: Things are going well for me.

And that has been rather rare lately. So let me just share a good day with you. I do something like that far too rarely.

I took a photo 📷 of my grey hair 👨‍🦳 this morning. I think I’ve passed the 50% mark, meaning more grey now than brown. Damn. 😢

The Xbox Series S 🎮 is the most awesome console I’ve bought in years. I have so much fun with it, it’s crazy. But: The internal storage was full in a flash. There’s an official storage expansion… without any loss of speed, but…

512 GB cost about 160 euros and 1 TB about 220 euros. And the latter is almost as much as the console itself cost. But somehow I don’t know if I’ll be annoyed about the 512 GB if they fill up too quickly.

What would you do? With the Xbox Game Pass, there’s too much good stuff that I’d like to have ready quickly. But I’m afraid to spend another 220 EUR…
